Our History

Barron’s Home Appliance Centre was established in 1989 on Gabriola Island by Lisa Barron’s parents, George and Sheila Sergeant.

Over the years, with the help of Lisa’s husband, Keith Barron, their service business, known then as General Services, quickly expanded to include a store-front in Nanaimo in 1998.

The name of the business was changed, and Barron’s Home Appliance Centre has continued to proudly serve Central Vancouver Island from Ladysmith to Deep Bay.

While the store has continued to grow and now has a team of over 25 people to serve you, our customers still come first, and still enjoy the personal attention that only a family business can provide.
